The service started with great worship where the kids were participating by leading everyone in some songs about God´s goodness together with the band.

Then we all picked up some good apple pie and coffee.

Pastor Chris started up the service by sharing the words from Matthew 28.

Matt 28:18-20
Jesus said to them: All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days to the close and consummation of the age. Amen.

The most important thing in raising children is that you yourself are a good role model. That you yourself are doing great things in the kingdom of God. You can´t teach or give anything to someone else that you don´t have yourself.

Usually we think of raising kids in terms like “You are not allowed to do that, don´t do this”. That is not biblical! It´s not the ditch that is interesting. It´s the goal to where you are heading and the way to it that is interesting! Raising children is not just about telling them for example not to play with matches, but showing them how to make up a fire.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.

If you and your family are running with God and doing thousands of projects in your different life areas, then your kids can run after. The focus is not on all they are not allowed to do, but on all the fantastic and great things they can do. It´s about thousands of goals!

Many people is doing great things in the kingdom of God, but they don´t take the time to train their kids. It´s important that we take time to train and educate our children!
